How much do I love the stairs?
Honestly, this is the last picture of the stairs..today
Front of the house...

We are going to live here?

Here is the front of the house. We aren't too sure about the yellow, but the house is definitely a pretty picture! Meeghan calls it a "gingerbread house", and Janelle calls it a "anne of green gables house". So far, I am just calling it the yellow house :o)
Another picture of the front - notice the SNOW! The front porch has a swing, and the house is located in Burnsville, MN. The school district is 196 (Eagan, Apple Valley), which is a great set of schools. While we certainly don't have any kids, it is nice to know when we do they have good schools to go to!

The Anne of Green Gables House...

March is nearly over, and our life has changed so much in the past month that we thought it may be time to start documenting it all. To catch you up:

Living:
Due to a pretty significant rent increase that would have come in July, we decided to explore buying a house. It all moved very quickly, from the pre-approval, to looking at 7 homes with Mandy and Cuka, to putting in an offer last Monday. After some lovely counter-offers and a home inspection, we have a closing date now of May 16th.

This blog will take shape as we decide on home improvement projects, decorating, and paint colors...feel free to share your ideas with us!

Learning:
We are learning lots about life in Minnesota. We have loved having lots of friends close by, it is great to be able to explore a new city, and we are adjusting to this new place! Luckily, our new house is only a mile from where we currently live, so we won't have to learn much about the surroundings!

Loving: (ahhh, sigh!)
Chris and I are doing well. Chris is working at 3M in St. Paul, and I work at the University of Minnesota. We commute together, and have survived this so far! In late April Chris (or Dr. Campbell, as William calls him!) will be traveling for work to Japan, China, India, and England - - a trip around the World in two weeks!

That is about all the update I have patience for this morning. Will upload pictures once I figure this all out :o)
